Hilary Male has been owned by Golden Retrievers since 1980 and has been fortunate to never having been without one since. After meeting her late husband, they got into showing and so she has been involved in the world of show dogs for well over 35 years. Hilary has shown Golden Retrievers and a Flatcoated Retriever under the Malenbrook affix.

Hilary has been judging since 2002 and is now approved to award Challenge Certificates in 23 Breeds in the Gundog group and the Group at Championship Show level. She has judged several times in Europe and Scandinavia and now Australia.

Hilary has also enjoyed the working side of owning a gundog and has done agility in the past with one.
