Monika Blaha (Austria)

Monika grew up with dogs of different breeds, the first she remembers was a shepherd-mix, followed by Pudel, Fox-Terrier, Irish Setter and Teckel. Monika and her family bred Longhaired Dachshunds very successfully and during her schooldays, she accompanied them to dog shows and at that time was infected with the show virus.

Her favourite breeds are the Spaniels and she had a very famous Field Spaniel from England who got 4 times World Winner, Cocker Spaniels with International Champions and when she was judging in Portugal, she got a Podengo Portugues Pequeno, who made International Champion, Portugues and Croatia Champion.

Since  2014, Monika and her husband have had Labrador Retrievers, first a black one Labrador Retriever, Anatol Amarok vom weiten Land, who was very successful at shows and had a lovely temper. Now they have a young yellow Retriever Conte Cipriano vom weiten Land who is already a Champion.

In 1988, Monika started as show judge for all Spaniel breeds of the FCI group VIII, and IV, expanded her judging profile for more and more breeds until 2009 she got the permission to judge all breeds.
